Christmas & Cocktails 2010

Every year since i was a little girl I have hosted a Christmas Party. I was very lucky when I was little, that my parents would give into my hostess passion, and let me host a get together for my friends to celebrate the holidays. It went from Gingerbread house making in elementary school, to coed parties in highschool (always a few crashers), and when I moved out and got my own place I have moved on to Christmas & Cocktails. Everybody loves a good ole' fashioned Holiday Coktail party, right!? For those of you hosting your own cocktail party this holiday season, here are some photos from last year's Cocktail Party. Hopefully it will inspire you with a few ideas!

Our Christmas Home

Its our very first Christmas together as husband and wife, and we are so excited to embrace the season! Trevor and I both LOVE Christmas time. In fact, its both of our favorite holiday/ time of year. We enjoy putting up the decorations, going to Naples to look at the Christmas lights, picking out a BIG real tree that will barely fit in our living room, picking out a personalized ornament in Downtown Disney, watching Elf over and over and over, and of course our nightly hot chocolate treat. I don't know what it is about Christmas, but I just fall in love with this holiday more and more every year. Kost 103.5 is on my radio non stop, seriously you can catch me on my daily commute to South Coat Plaza rockin out in my car to "I want a hippopotamus for Christmas!

This Christmas I feel so blessed to share the season with my amazing husband who I love more than anything. Not to get all gushy, but Trevor has made my dreams come true. You know that song "All I want for Christmas is you"? Yes, I know its cheesy, but when this song came out I was in the 4th grade, and me being the hopeless romantic I was, would dream about having a husband one day to spend Christmas with. Well I guess it only took 19 years for Santa to bring me what I really wanted, but he was well worth the wait!

I hope you all have a MERRY CHRISTMAS and may Santa bring you the love you have always wanted.

Give Thanks

Thanksgiving. A day to give thanks to the Lord for our blessings. God can be so good. I thank God so much for what he has given me. This year he blessed Trevor and I as we became husband and wife. YAY!

This holiday has always been a special time for us, because this is when we fell in love. Three years ago, I woke up in Trevors arms for the first time on Thanksgiving morning. We were living in Oregon at the time, and had no family to visit us, no big turkey dinner planned. However, that Thanksgiving will always be the most memorable for me, the one I am most thankful for.

Happy Thanksgiving from the Bruner household to yours! With that I give you our home: Thanksgiving style!

Danielle's Little Pumpkin

Little Baby Gianna Kathleen Burns is almost here!!! To celebrate we showered the gorgeous Mama to be with a Pumpkin/ Fall harvest themed baby shower! (Which is Danielle's favorite time of year). It was such a beautiful day, and I am so happy Danielle was showered with so many amazing gifts as she embarks on her journey into motherhood. She is one of my best friends in the whole world, with the biggest heart. She is going to be the most stylish Mama on the block. Gianna is due to arrive December 25th, 2011. We all can't wait to meet our new baby niece.
